Vanmiddag is het puthuis en Onze-Lieve-Vrouwehuisje op de Markt in Den Bosch onthuld.

Architect Jan Weyts heeft een zo nauwkeurig mogelijke reconstructie ontworpen van de stadsput, zoals die er in 1522 moet hebben gestaan. Weyts heeft de maten van de put herleid van het schilderij De Lakenmarkt, dat in het Noordbrabants Museum hangt. Ook kon hij gebruik maken van metingen van de opgegraven fundering van de put.
De stadsput heeft een renaissance-achtige uitstraling met laatgotische detaillering, zoals die moet zijn geweest in 1522.
Het Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe huisje uit 1499 staat naast de stadsput.
De gemeente Den Bosch betaalde 300.000 voor het puthuis op de Markt in Den Bosch te laten bouwen. Het gebouwtje is een replica van het puthuis dat er tot 1522 stond en kost 400.000 euro. Aanvankelijk zou de gemeente de helft betalen. Stichting 1522 moest via sponsoring de andere helft betalen, maar dat is dus niet gelukt.

This afternoon the medieval pit house and an Our Lady chapel are unveiled on the market place in Den Bosch.
Architect Jan Weyts has developed the most accurate reconstruction of the vilage well, as it must have been in 1522. Weyts has deducted the dimensions of the pit from the painting the cloth Market, which hangs in the Noordbrabants Museum. Also, he could make use of measurements of the excavated foundation of the well.
The pit house has a renaissance-like appearance with late Gothic detailing, as it must have been in 1522.
The Our Lady cottage from 1499 stands next to the stadsput.
