Dit model laat zien hoe een Nederlands oorlogsschip er aan het eind van de 17de eeuw uitzag. Het model is gebouwd op de Vlissingse werf waar ook echte oorlogsschepen van stapel liepen. Deze waren wel ruim twaalf keer zo groot. Dit schip heeft 74 kanonnen aan boord. Het pronkmodel stond opgesteld in de vergaderzaal van de Zeeuwse Admiraliteit in Middelburg.

This model shows the appearance of a Dutch warship in the late 17th century. It was made at the dockyards of Vlissingen (Flushing), where real warships were also built. These would have been more than twelve times larger than this model. This ship has 74 guns. The model was displayed in the council chamber of the Admiralty of Zeeland in Middelburg.
